As a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in helping high-functioning individuals and couples move through the stuck points of PTSD and complex trauma.
My background isn’t just in the therapy room; I spent more than a decade as a Clinical Architect within the Department of Veterans Affairs, co-leading the revision of national directives and designing the safety frameworks that helped shape trauma care on a national scale.
My Clinical Philosophy
My approach to psychotherapy is client-centered and interpersonal, meaning your unique needs and perspectives are always prioritized. We will partner to set goals that actively drive your treatment plan. Together, we'll identify where you might be getting stuck and work collaboratively to build the skills necessary to address those challenges. My work is informed by evidence-based psychological principles, and I believe in incorporating a healthy dose of humor and lightness. You can expect direct and kind feedback to foster insight, and compassionate encouragement to take healthy risks and promote growth.
My Approach to Consulting & Training
I bring my clinical depth into organizational spaces, helping leaders and teams navigate complex change and achieve sustainable performance. I specialize in applying psychological principles—such as cognitive science and behavioral theory—to common organizational challenges across corporate, non-profit, and healthcare agencies.
My focus areas include:
Teaching teams to hold space for productive tension and resolve high-stakes conflict.
Addressing the unique psychological demands of mission-driven organizations (e.g., burnout, secondary trauma, and compassion fatigue).
Building the cognitive and emotional capacity required to implement and sustain complex organizational change (translating strategic vision into actual, day-to-day behavior).
Targeting common performance barriers like The Perfectionism Mandate and Witnessed Incompetence.
I am committed to utilizing evidence-based approaches to provide compassionate and effective care, whether that is in a therapy room or a boardroom.
